Female Police Officer Hospitalized after San Antonio Crash on Loop 410 and Summit Parkway

San Antonio, Texas (June 9, 2022) – A female police officer was injured after a police cruiser crashed into a tow truck parked at the scene of a rollover crash in San Antonio on Thursday morning, police said.

The wreck occurred at about 3:40 a.m. on Loop 410 and Summit Parkway.

According to the police, a Mazda sport utility vehicle was attempting to turn onto the access road of Loop 410 when it overturned.

A tow truck driver stopped to help the crash victims. A Texas police cruiser then slammed into the stopped tow truck.

A female police officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The roadway was blocked during the investigation.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
