The deadly crash happened at around 10:45 a.m. Monday, July 31 near U.S. 84

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a train and semi-truck collided  under unclear circumstances

Spahich succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital

Five train cars derailed. Some of the train cars were carrying a possible hazardous material

An investigation into the crash is underway.
