Brian Sheppard and Nestor Soto in Wharton County Car Crash on US 59 near County Road 214
Wharton County, Texas (April 6, 2019) – Two people were killed early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash in Wharton County, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. April 1, on US 59 near County Road 214.
DPS said Brian Sheppard, 47, was driving northbound in the southbound lane of the highway when his car crashed head-on into an oncoming Chevy Tahoe driven by Nestor Soto, 36.
Both Sheppard and Soto were declared dead at the scene. They were the only occupants in their vehicles.
The police are investigating the crash.
