2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 447 in Victoria

Two Injured in Victoria Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 447 

Victoria, Texas (January 2, 2022) – Two people were injured on New Year’s Day in a two-vehicle crash in Victoria, according to the DPS.

The crash happened just before 4:00 p.m., January 1, on FM-447.

DPS said a 64-year-old Victoria woman was driving her Lexus SUV and was turning into her driveway when her car was rear-ended by a Ford F 150 driven by a 67-year-old woman.

The force of the impact caused the Lexus to roll over three times and land on the driver’s side.

The woman had to be extricated from her SUV. She was taken to Citizen’s Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford driver was taken to DeTar Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After hearing the wreck happen, the son of the SUV driver ran out of their home in an attempt to save his mother, but he broke his foot.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
