1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 31 in Tyler

One Killed in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 31 near SSE Loop 323

Tyler, Texas – One person was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Tyler, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:00 p.m., January 9, in the 3000 block of Hwy 31 East, just east of SSE Loop 323.

DPS said a white pickup truck and a passenger sedan were involved in the crash.

There was an entrapment in one of the vehicles.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed both the eastbound and the westbound traffic of the highway for several hours. The highway has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
