Gabriel Magana Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Gateway East Boulevard in El Paso

Gabriel Magana ID’d as Driver Killed in El Paso Crash on Gateway East Boulevard

El Paso, Texas (July 22, 2023) – The driver who died following a traffic collision on Friday morning in El Paso has been identified as Gabriel Magana, 24.

The deadly crash happened in the 10400 block of Gateway East Boulevard on July 21.

Authorities said a white Nissan Altima, driven by Magana, was heading eastbound in the center lane when, for unknown reasons, it crashed into the back of a white Chevrolet pickup truck.

Magana and the driver of the Chevrolet were transported to a nearby hospital, where Magana later succumbed to his injuries. The Chevrolet driver had minor injuries.

Authorities believed speed and intoxication were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
