Morris Vaughn and Patricia Killed in Sinton Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 89 near US 77

Sinton, Texas (December 3, 2023) – An elderly couple was killed and two other people were injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash outside of Sinton, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:26 p.m., December 3, on State Highway 89 near US 77.

Authorities said 90-year-old Morris Vaughn and his 88-year-old wife Patricia, both of Llano, were in a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice and were traveling southbound on the highway. Morris failed to yield to a Ford F-150 that was traveling eastbound on State Highway 89, resulting in a collision.

Morris and Patricia were killed in the crash.

The 32-year-old driver of the Ford and her 31-year-old male passenger, both from Beeville, were taken to a Corpus Christi hospital in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
