Ethan Wayne Woods Killed in Motorcycle Crash on US 69 near Lumberton

Ethan Wayne Woods ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Hardin County Crash on US 69 near Mitchell Road

Hardin County, Texas (December 11, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Monday evening in Hardin County has been identified as Ethan Wayne Woods, 22, of Vidor, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened at about 7:00 p.m. December 9, on US 69 near Mitchell Road, south of Lumberton.

DPS said a 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling southbound on US 69 when it was rear-ended by a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle ridden by Woods.

After the initial crash, several other crashes occurred in the same area of the highway.

Woods was declared dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver, 65-year-old Kalind Adams of Lumberton, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed all southbound traffic lane of US 69, near Mitchell Road, for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
