44-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed by Car on I-610 North Loop at Yale Street in Houston

Houston, Texas – A 44-year-old man was killed Monday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:30 a.m., in the westbound lanes of the I-610 North Loop at Yale Street.

Police said the man was on the main lanes of the freeway when he was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene and was not impaired. He was questioned and released.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the freeway for several hours. Traffic was diverted onto the feeder road. The roadway was reopened around 9:00 a.m.

The police are investigating the crash.
