Jourdanton Man Killed, One Injured in Charlotte Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 97
Charlotte, Texas (February 16, 2019) – A driver was killed and another was injured Friday morning in a head-on collision in Charlotte, Atascosa County, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened at an unspecified time on Friday, February 15, on Highway 97 near milepost 506.
DPS officials said a 28-year-old Jourdanton man was driving a Ford F-350 eastbound on the highway when he veered into the opposite lane for unknown reasons and his vehicle hit a Ford F-250.
The Jourdanton man was declared dead at the scene. His name was not immediately disclosed.
The other driver was taken to Methodist Hospital South in Jourdanton with incapacitating injuries and then to San Antonio Medical Military Center.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
