Amber Bennett Killed in Motorcycle Crash on U.S. 287 in Clay County 

Amber Bennett Killed in Clay County Motorcycle Crash on U.S. 287 near FM 2393

Clay County, Texas (May 18, 2022) – A woman was killed on May 16 in a motorcycle crash in Clay County, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., on U.S. 287 near U.S. 287, east of Wichita Falls.

Authorities said a motorcycle was traveling on the highway when the driver reportedly lost control, and both he and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

The passenger, Amber Lynn Bennett, 20, of Wichita Falls, landed in the northbound lanes where she was struck by another car.

Bennett was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcycle driver was taken to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls with serious injuries.

The car driver was uninjured in the crash.

The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
