1 Airlifted after 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 130 in Austin

One Seriously Injured in Austin Truck Accident on State Highway 130 near FM 973

Austin, Texas (December 29, 2022) – One person was airlifted after a collision between an 18-wheeler and an SUV on Wednesday morning in Austin, according to authorities.

The crash happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, on State Highway 130 near FM 973.

Authorities said the 18-wheeler and the SUV collided on State Highway 130 near FM 973. Both vehicles overturned after the crash.

One person was trapped inside their vehicle and was extricated by firefighters. One adult victim was flown to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
