Two Killed in Plano Gravel Hauler Truck Crash on Highway 75 at President George Bush Turnpike

Plano, Texas (May 21, 2020) – Two people were killed Wednesday afternoon in a traffic collision involving a gravel hauler truck in Plano, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:00 p.m. May 20, on Highway 75 at Highway 190 (President George Bush Turnpike).

Police said an SUV was traveling westbound on the service road of President George Bush Turnpike at a high rate of speed, approaching the service road Highway 75. It failed to navigate the turn and went straight into Highway 75, where it struck a gravel hauler truck that was pulling a trailer in the southbound lanes.

The driver of the gravel hauler and one person in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The other occupant of the SUV was ejected and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
