Carlos Gonzales Killed, Brenson Halford and Tyler Stewart Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on East Slaton Road

Lubbock, Texas (February 13, 2023) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Southeast Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:04 p.m., February 11, in the 4200 block of East Slaton Road.

Police said Carlos Gonzales, 35, was driving eastbound when he struck a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Brenson Halford.

The impact caused the truck to roll.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.

Halford and 17-year-old Tyler Stewart were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
