Claudia Escobar Dies in Crash on Zaragoza Road in El Paso

Claudia Escobar Killed in East El Paso Three-Vehicle Crash at Zaragoza Road and Sun Fire Boulevard

El Paso, Texas – The woman who was injured earlier this month in a three-vehicle crash in Far East El Paso has died, according to the police.

Claudia Escobar, 47, of El Paso, was pronounced dead on Monday, February 12.

The crash happened just before 8:00 p.m., February 4, at the intersection of Zaragoza Road and Sun Fire Boulevard.

Police said Escobar was driving a Chrysler in the 2100 block of N. Zaragoza when she rear-ended two vehicles at the intersection.

Escobar was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries where she died on February 12.

Officers said alcohol was a factor in the crash.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The Special Traffic Investigations (STI) is investigating the crash.
