Craig Strange Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Texas 73 in Jefferson County

Craig Strange Killed in Jefferson County Pedestrian Accident on Texas 73 near Englin Road

Jefferson County, Texas (September 8, 2020) – A 39-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident Sunday evening in Jefferson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m., September 6, on Texas 73 near Englin Road.

DPS said 39-year-old Craig Strange of Baytown was driving a Chevrolet vehicle eastbound when he veered off the roadway and crashed. He then exited his vehicle and walked into the roadway, where he was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Beaumont man.

Strange was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The pickup driver was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
