Cyclist Injured in DUI Crash at Sheraton and South Congress Avenues in Austin; Travis Ashley Arrested

29-Year-Old Man Injured in Austin Bicycle Accident at Sheraton Avenue and South Congress Avenue; Travis Ashley Arrested

Austin, Texas (February 19, 2020) – A 29-year-old man was injured in a bicycle accident Sunday night at an Austin intersection, according to the police.

The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. February 16, at the intersection of Sheraton Avenue and South Congress Avenue.

According to the police, the bicyclist was struck at the intersection by a car driven by 38-year-old Travis Ashley.

The bicyclist, a 29-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with a broken femur.

Ashley was arrested and charged with intoxication assault, a third-degree felony.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
