Cynthia Maria Leonard Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Cameron Road

Austin, Texas (March 11, 2021) – The woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week Thursday in north Austin has been identified as Cynthia Maria Leonard, 46, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:41 p.m., March 4, in the 7200 block of Cameron Road near East St. Johns Avenue.

Police said Leonard was struck by a white 2015 Ford Fiesta that then fled the scene.

Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are still looking for the suspect driver.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the driver is asked to call APD’s vehicular homicide unit at 512-974-4278.
