Dorthey Small ID’d as Victim In Fatal Waco Crash on Martin Luther King Boulevard

Waco, Texas (May 20, 2023) – Police have identified the person who died following a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Waco as Dorthey Small, 81, of Fountain, Southern Colorado.

The deadly crash occurred on Martin Luther King Boulevard on Wednesday, 17.

According to the police, Small was driving a Mazda on Martin Luther King Boulevard when she made a U-Turn and was struck by another vehicle, which then collided with a third vehicle.

Small and her passenger, a 3-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle upon the impact.  Small and the girl were transported to a local hospital, where Small died from her injuries.

The girl sustained minor injuries, and the occupants of the other involved vehicles were expected to be okay.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
