Eric Rye Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident at Fountain View Drive and Inwood Drive

Houston, Texas (August 7, 2023) – A man was killed on July 30 in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened just after midnight, at the intersection of Fountain View and Inwood Drives.

According to the report, 35-year-old Eric Rye was Door-Dashing when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Rye was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police are looking for the suspect. Anyone with any information about what happened is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

Rye’s family said they are offering a cash reward of an undisclosed amount for information that could lead to an arrest.
