James Fletcher Killed, 2 Injured in Paris Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 82

Paris, Texas (February 4, 2020) – An elderly man was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash last week on Tuesday in Paris, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on January 28, on U.S. Highway 82.

Police said James Fletcher, 73, was driving a pickup westbound on the highway when his vehicle hydroplaned and hit an eastbound SUV.

Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the SUV were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The weather was a likely factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
