Jason Williams Killed in Woodville Pedestrian Accident on US 69

Woodville, Texas (October 7, 2023) – According to the Texas DPS, a pedestrian was killed last Friday in a hit-and-run crash in Woodville.

The deadly accident happened just before 8:00 p.m., September 29, on US 69.

DPS said Jason Williams, 41, of Jasper, was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. 

Williams was killed in the crash.

The Dodge driver fled the scene after the accident. The Dodge was later found, and its driver, 18-year-old Raygan Picou, of Sour Lake.

No other information was available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
