Jimmy Crathers Killed in Temple Two-Vehicle Crash on Southeast Loop

Temple, Texas (December 8, 2023) – A man was killed and another was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Temple, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 3:21 p.m., December 7, on the Southeast Loop south of the Avenue H overpass.

Police said 66-year-old Jimmy Louis Crathers of Temple was trying to make a U-turn in the middle of the loop when another vehicle hit his vehicle’s side door.

Crathers was killed in the crash. His male passenger was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the other vehicle did not report any serious injuries.
