30-Year-Old John Rice Killed in Corpus Christi Bicycle Crash on FM 624 and Riverwood Drive
Corpus Christi, Texas (July 25, 2019) – A 30-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision that occurred on Monday morning in Corpus Christi, according to police.
The wreck was reported just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the area of FM 624 and Riverwood Drive.
Police said John Rice, 30, was riding a bicycle southbound on FM 624 when he was struck by a vehicle, which threw or dragged him about 150 feet from the point of the impact.
Rice was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details were released.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating the incident.
