Copperas Cove Man Jonathan Vergne-Negron Killed in Killeen Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 14 near Clear Creek Road 

Killeen, Texas (November 16, 2023) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 14 in Killeen as Jonathan Emill Vergne-Negron, 31, of Copperas Cove.

Reportedly, Vergne-Negron crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 14 and was fatally struck by a 2022 Toyota Camry. Vergne-Negron was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camry, a 32-year-old male from Copperas Cove, stayed at the scene.

Fatal Killeen Motorcycle Collision on 14 Freeway near Clear Creek Road

Killeen, Texas (November 14, 2023) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash on Interstate 14 in Killeen early Tuesday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the traffic collision happened on Interstate 14 near Clear Creek Road at around 3 a.m.

According to the report, a 2022 Harley Davidson rider was traveling west on the highway and standing up on the bike when he lost control and fell onto the roadway.

The motorcyclist’s wife was following him and rushed to assist him. As they were leaving the roadway, the motorcyclist was struck by an approaching 2022 Toyota Camry.

Police say the driver tried to avoid hitting the rider but failed. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene. The collision is under investigation.
