Juan Silva Killed in Pharr Two-Vehicle Crash at Cage Blvd and Javelina Drive; Damien Martinez Arrested

Pharr, Texas (April 26, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed, and another was arrested Saturday morning following a DUI crash in Pharr.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m., April 24, at the intersection of Cage Boulevard and Javelina Drive.

Police said Juan Silva, 50, was stopped at a red light at the intersection when his vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle driven by Damien Martinez, 21.

Silva was pronounced dead at the scene.

Martinez was arrested for intoxication, manslaughter, and an accident involving death.

The police are investigating the crash.
