Katherine Ann Petty ID’d as Woman Killed in Cherokee County Pedestrian Accident on US-69
Cherokee County, Texas (July 9, 2019) – The woman who was fatally hit by a vehicle while chasing a dog Sunday afternoon in Cherokee County has been identified as 60-year-old Katherine Ann Petty, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident occurred around 3:15 p.m. July 7, on US-69.
DPS said Petty was chasing a dog on the highway when she was hit by a northbound semi-truck driven by 41-year-old Rogelio Armando Castillo of Lufkin.
Petty was taken to a Tyler hospital where she later died.
An investigation is underway.
