Ector County, Texas (July 13, 2022) – One of the three people who were killed in a traffic accident on Monday night at an intersection in Ector County has been identified as Keethan James Gould, 40, of Farmington, New Mexico.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened on July 11, at the intersection of Highway 302 and FM 1936.

DPS said Adan Castillo-Venzor, 26, of Wichita, Kansas, was driving northbound on FM 1936 when he failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign and as a result, his 2017 Ford F-350 was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu that was traveling westbound on State Highway 302, driven by Gould.

Gould died at the scene. His two passengers were also pronounced dead at the scene.

Castillo-Venzor and his passenger, Israel Gonzalez-Nunez, 40, of Seminole, Texas, were transported to Medical Center Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
