Kenneth Olson Killed in Lewisville 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 35

Lewisville, Texas (December 30, 2021) – A man was killed early Thursday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in Lewisville, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred at about 1:45 a.m., December 30, on Interstate 35E.

Police said a vehicle was stopped in one of the southbound lanes when it was struck by an 18-wheeler, pushing it hundreds of feet down the highway.

The crash ruptured the fuel tank of the 18-wheeler, spilling diesel fuel across multiple lanes.

The driver of the vehicle, Kenneth Walter Olson, 81, from Fort Worth, was taken to Medical City Lewisville, where he later died.

The 18-wheeler driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash closed the interstate for several hours, and traffic on southbound I-35E was diverted onto SH 121 Business. The lanes have since been reopened.

The police are investigating the crash.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Kenneth Walter Olson.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
