Arlington, Texas – According to the police, a 62-year-old woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in a grocery store parking lot in Arlington.

The deadly accident occurred just before 4:00 p.m., April 3, in the 2300 block of SE Green Oaks Boulevard.

Police said a 2007 Ford F-150 was traveling southbound in the parking lot towards the front entrance of the store when it came to a stop near the end of the row and then turned to go eastbound. As it was turning, it struck Linda Brown who had just exited the store and was walking in the parking lot.

Brown was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

The Ford driver stopped and rendered aid after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
