Man Critically Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (November 1, 2020) – A man was critically injured in a rollover crash Saturday morning in San Antonio, according to police.

The crash happened around 2:35 a.m., October 31, in the 28500 block of US Highway 281.

Police said the man was driving a pickup truck erratically in the northbound lanes of the highway when he lost control while exiting. He hit the water barrels on the exit ramp and the pickup rollover back onto the main lanes where it was hit by an 18-wheeler.

The man was pinned in his pickup truck and had to be extricated. He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
