Man Injured in Belton Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 439 and Chalk Lane

Belton, Texas (September 9, 2023) – A man was injured in a head-on collision on Friday in Belton, according to the DPS.

The crash happened on September 8, on FM 439 and Chalk Lane.

DPS said a man was driving a Honda Civic when he attempted to pass an 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone. The Civic then crashed head-on into a white Nissan SUV driven by a 33-year-old woman.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery Friday morning.

No other details were available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
