Man Injured in West Austin Paragliding Accident on Plaza on the Lake

Austin, Texas (June 8, 2020) – According to authorities, a man was injured Monday morning in a paragliding accident in west Austin.

The accident occurred around 7:22 a.m. in the 5000 block of Plaza on the Lake.

Authorities said two people were paragliding from Cedar Park when they began having engine troubles, and they had planned to land in a field nearby, but the paraglider started making wrong turns, and it crashed into a concrete wall.

A man was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious but non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

We wish the injured victim a quick recovery.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statues which were violated.
