Man Injured in Bridgeport Two-Vehicle Accident on FM 1658; Nipsar Sitan-Culajay Arrested

Bridgeport, Texas (January 7, 2021) – A man was injured and another was arrested Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash in Bridgeport, according to police.

The crash happened shortly after 6:00 p.m., January 6, in the 500 block of FM 1658, north of U.S. 380.

Police said Nipsar Sitan-Culajay was driving a black SUV eastbound when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound passenger car.

The driver of the westbound car was taken to Medical City Denton with multiple injuries.

Nipsar Sitan-Culajay was arrested and was taken to Wise County Jail. He has been charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle and his bond is set at $15,000.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

In Texas, a driver is legally intoxicated after consuming alcohol if their blood alcohol content (BAC) is .08% or higher. A driver is also considered intoxicated if they don’t have the normal use of their mental or physical faculties by reason of the introduction of alcohol.
