Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on North Shepherd Drive in Houston; Michele Livesay Arrested

63-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on North Shepherd Drive; Michele Livesay Arrested

Houston, Texas (April 17, 2023) – A 63-year-old man was killed earlier this month in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 12:35 a.m., April 2, in the 4700 block of North Shepherd Drive.

Police said the man was crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a northbound white Hyundai Elantra.

The man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on April 9.

The Hyundai driver, Michele Livesay, 53, fled the scene but was found a short distance away by responding patrol officers. She was taken into custody and has been charged with failure to stop and render aid in a crash involving injury.

The police are investigating the crash.
