Emiliano Lara, John Fuller and Cheryl Brumfield Killed in Kaufman County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 243
Kaufman County, Texas (November 4, 2019) – Three people were killed, and one other was critically injured in a head-on collision Saturday night in Kaufman County, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened around 8:00 p.m. on November 2, on State Highway 243.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 2006 Saturn SUV was heading westbound on the highway when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Equinox.
The Saturn driver, 23-year-old Emiliano Lara, and the Chevrolet driver, 78-year-old John Fuller, were declared dead at the scene.
Cheryl Brumfield, 75, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger in the Chevrolet, Brenda Fuller, 74, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas with serious injuries.
An investigation is underway.
