Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on SH 107 in San Carlos

Man Killed in San Carlos Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 107 near 84th Street

San Carlos, Texas – A man was killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Carlos, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:13 a.m., March 23, on State Highway 107, west of 84th Street.

DPS said the man was walking southbound across the highway when he was hit by a red/maroon passenger car, which was heading eastbound.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident. It was described as a 1997 to 2002 red/maroon Ford Escort.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Texas Department of Public Safety office at (956) 565-7600.
