Man Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Beltway 8 in Houston

Man Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Beltway 8 near Highway 290

Houston, Texas (February 15, 2022) – A man was killed early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash in Houston, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 2:20 a.m., February 14, on Beltway 8 under Highway 290.

Deputies said the man was driving a sedan the wrong way northbound when he crashed into a big rig that was carrying mail for USPS.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
