Anthony Coleman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on West Loop in Houston

Anthony Coleman ID’d as One of Two Killed in Houston Car Accident on West Loop near Beechnut
Houston, Texas (January 22, 2019) –  Authorities have identified one of the two people who were killed early Sunday morning in a traffic crash involving five vehicles in  Houston as Anthony Coleman, according to a local news source.
The multi-car accident took place at around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, January 20 on the West Loop near Beechnut.
Police said for an unknown reason a white Lexus struck another vehicle on the West Loop. The Lexus became disabled as a result of the collision.
The Lexus driver then got out and sat on the side of the road making phone calls. A black Ford F-150 crested the hill and spotted the broken car, veering at the last minute to avoid a crash.
In the process, the F-150 struck a Ford Taurus.
Coleman and one other person, who were in the Taurus, were killed in the wreck. The name of the other deceased victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The drivers of the F-150 and the Lexus were both charged with drunken driving.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
