Man Killed in Possible Hit-and-Run Racing Crash on I-35E in Dallas

Driver Killed in Dallas Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 35E at Medical District Drive

Dallas, Texas (June 23, 2019) – A 24-year-old man was killed Friday evening in a possible racing accident in Dallas, according to the authorities.

The accident was reported around 10:35 p.m. June 21, at I-35E and Medical District Drive.

Deputies said a red sedan and a red GMC Envoy were traveling at a high rate of speed during a possible race in the southbound lanes of I-35E when the sedan struck the GMC.

The impact caused the GMC driver to lose control, go across all lanes of the road and crash into three other vehicles. The GMC then went off a bridge and into a grassy area.

The GMC driver, a 24-year-old man, was ejected from his car. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died. His passenger, a 25-year-old, was also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The authorities are looking for the red-colored sedan which fled the scene. It is described as having a chrome bumper, chrome door handles, and chrome around its windows.
