Dennis Warren and Cristobal Solis Killed, Frank Solis Injured in Callahan County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 36

Callahan County, Texas – Two people were killed and another was injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Callahan County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on December 16, on State Highway 36.

DPS said Dennis Warren, 55, of Houston, was driving a pickup truck eastbound on the highway while Cristobal Solis, 48, of Abilene, was driving another truck westbound.

Warren veered into the westbound lane of the highway and hit Solis’ truck.

Warren and Solis were pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Solis’ truck, Frank Solis, 74, of Abilene, was taken to Hendrick North Medical Center in stable condition.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
