Man Killed, Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1764 in Texas City

One Killed and One Injured in Texas City Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1764

Texas City, Texas (December 3, 2020) – A man was killed, and a woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Texas City, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:27 a.m., December 1, in the 2600 block of FM 1764.

Police said a 41-year-old man was driving a Lexus eastbound on the highway when he lost control and hydroplaned into the westbound side, where he was hit by a 2018 Hyundai.

The Lexus driver was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The Hyundai driver, a 25-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed the highway for more than one hour.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
