Man Riding Electric Scooter Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Shepherd Drive in Houston

Man Killed in Houston Scooter Accident on Shepherd Drive near Eigle Street

Houston, Texas (January 29, 2023) – A man riding an electric scooter died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Thursday morning in Houston, according to Houston police.

The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, January 26, on Shepherd Drive near Eigle Street.

Houston police said a man in his 50s to 60s was riding an electric bike southbound on Shepherd Drive when he was hit by a car near Eigle Street.

The man who was not wearing a helmet was killed in the crash.

The driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
