46-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on North Sam Houston Parkway East

Houston, Texas (February 16, 2023) – A 46-year-old man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 3:20 p.m., February 14, in the 6200 block of North Sam Houston Parkway East service road.

Police said a white Ford F-650 flatbed tow truck was traveling westbound on the service road when the driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended a white Freightliner box truck, causing it to turn left.

The box truck then struck a westbound black Chevrolet Tahoe and a median wall. The Tahoe continued traveling forward, spun around, and came to a stop facing eastbound.

The tow truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The drivers of the box truck and the Tahoe were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
