61-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed by Car on Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio

61-Year-Old Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Fredericksburg Road at De Chantle

San Antonio, Texas (September 3, 2023) – A 61-year-old man was struck and killed by a car Friday evening in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:30 p.m., September 1, in the 3700 block of Fredericksburg Road at De Chantle.

Police said the man was walking within a crosswalk at the intersection when he was struck by a southbound Ford Mustang.

The driver had a green signal, and he told the officers that he didn’t see the man due to his dark clothing.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
