Martine (Fernando) Orozco Critically Injured in Austin Pedestrian Accident on East Cesar Chavez Street

Austin, Texas (November 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was critically injured Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Austin, according to the police.

The accident took place around 5:26 a.m. November 3, on East Cesar Chavez Street.

According to a family member, 26-year-old Martine (Fernando) Orozco was out with his friends at an Austin party called Electric Church. They were trying to cross the street to meet an Uber when Orozco was hit by a vehicle.

The car fled the scene after the accident.

Orozco was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition. He has already undergone six surgeries.

An investigation is ongoing.
