Matthew Sopcic Killed in Denton Workplace Accident at Target Distribution Center on Airport Road

Denton, Texas (August 14, 2019) – A worker was killed early this month in a workplace accident in Denton, a local news source reported.

The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. August 4, at the Target Distribution Center in the 3200 block of Airport Road.

As per the report, employees at the Target Distribution Center located 34-year-old Matthew Sopcic, who was unconscious at the building.

Sopcic was taken to a Fort Worth Hospital where he died on August 9.

Investigators believe Sopcic was caught in a conveyor belt at the plant.

An investigation is ongoing.
