Michael Coppedge and Dennis Shipman Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at 50th Street and Bangor Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (November 18, 2021) – Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the police.

The crash happened around 1:54 p.m., November 16, at the intersection of 50th Street and Bangor Avenue.

Police said Michael Coppedge, 22, was driving a Ford Econoline westbound in the 5200 block of 50th Street while Dennis Shipman, 63, was driving a Chevrolet Express eastbound.

The Ford crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with the Chevrolet.

Coppedge was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. A passenger in the Ford was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Shipman was taken to Covenant Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
