Michael Dean Cook Killed in Killeen Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Jasper Road

Killeen, Texas (December 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident on Saturday in Killeen, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident took place on Saturday, December 21, in the 1000 block of Jasper Road.

As per the report, 53-year-old Michael Dean Cook was crossing southbound on Jasper Road when an eastbound SUV hit him. The SUV fled the scene after the accident.

Cook was killed in the crash.

Investigators believe the involved vehicle is a pewter or lighter color and is a 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe with minimal damage to the front right headlight.   

An investigation is underway.
