Michael Oliver Killed in Rusk Motorcycle Crash on 6th Street/Highway 84

Rusk, Texas (November 3, 2023) – One person was killed on Friday in a motorcycle crash in Rusk, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 5:00 p.m., October 20, on 6th Street/Highway 84 near the Dollar General.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling westbound on the highway when a motorcyclist tried passing another vehicle and crashed head-on into the pickup.

The collision started a fire.

The motorcyclist, Michael Dean Oliver, 34 of Rusk, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck was uninjured in the crash. There were no signs of drug or alcohol use by the pickup driver.

The police are investigating the crash.
